Hello hello!
Thank you very much for sharing all those beautiful garden and park patterns with us!
The zigzag of the pathways and the beauty of the symmetrical elements is a very satisfying thing to see!
We start the day with some more pattern delights on Pinterest … From the macrolevel to the microlevel - some patterns repeat, they pick up pace or slow down … They make a real composition! Raymond Murray Schafer - famous for his acoustic ecologies and the world soundscape project created notations of all possible and impossible sounds … They are delightful - and the visual representations are creating sounds themselves… What alchemy that is!
His way of teaching is very inspirational - if you are interested take a look at his Handbook for the Modern Music Teacher.
“Anything in our world that moves vibrates air.
If it moves in such a way that it oscillates at more than about 16 times a second this movement is heard as sound.
The world, then, is full of sounds. Listen.
Openly attentive to whatever is vibrating, listen.
Sit quietly for a moment and receive.”
(Raymond Murray Schafer)
We also encounter a lot of alchemy in the sounds of trees … Here you can listen to the acoustic emissions of a Scots pine, a project by Marcus Maeder on the Norient Platform.
It is all about receiving and exploring the details … And “details” is the key that leads us to today’s task:
Let’s listen closely: What kind of details make your park so special? Are there any wondrous plants to be found in your park? Is there a big exotic tree? Is your park a hide-away for animals, big and small? Is there a fountain? A sculpture? Today's task is to record the sound of some details in the park. Share with us what you hear!
Please share your sound and an image / video with us:
Post a film / recording (around 1 minute in length) with an image on Instagram using the #soundingdetails #ambientradiogoessonohr #ambientradio #sonohr (like this, we find your work!) OR:
Upload your sounds on Google drive. Please give your track the following title: yourname_day4. Like this we find your work for the weekly remix! OR:
Alternatively, drop an audiofile into our Telegram chat!
Use your magnifying ears and get real close … We leave you to the world of detailed wonders … Please don’t get lost - we wait for you tomorrow for our first week's final day!
Love and kisses
