We missed you, dearest Ambient Radio Community!
… and finally, we are back with another season of Ambient Radio! The 3rd season is super special - Ambient Radio was selected to become part of the 2022 edition of the SONOHR Festival that will happen from February, 25 to February, 27 live in Bern!
“The SONOHR Festival is a three-day celebration of creative documentary and fictional audio stories that are rich in sound, and an event which also allows for an active exchange between authors and the audience.” And we are very proud and happy to be part of it - together with you!

Are you ready to join the fun?
Here is what we are going to do together during the coming 3 weeks!
The overall topic of the festival is “Audible Spaces”. With a little help from all of you, we are going to build 3 very special audible spaces. Those spaces are made of what you hear! Next, we combine our collection into a virtual space that oscillates between here and there and everywhere… Together we build an audible space as unique as our community, between the real and our fantasies … In our introduction podcast, we tell you more about it!
In week 1 we will build a nice park where flaneurs and thieves and lovers and children all want to play.
During week 2 we will devote ourselves to water. Starting with fountains, along the riverside and all the way down to the seashore… The ripples and waves will wash us away!
Finally, in week 3, we will build the virtual main square of our community.
And as a final act - will be a live performance at the festival showing us around in the audible spaces we curated together!
Do you think this all sounds complicated? Don’t worry, it isn’t difficult at all! We will guide you - a simple task a day - step by step! All you need is your curiosity and a recording device (for example your mobile p
By now, we are ready to start the work! Here is today’s task:
Today we ask you to go for a walk in your favorite park. Walk slowly and focus on what you hear… When you feel ready, take your phone or your recorder and record one minute of your walk.
This is our warm-up exercise - so just listen, record what you hear - pure and simple. There is no need to edit your sounds… Just listen and share with us what you hear!
