Are you fine? How do you feel today? We are still in Napoli … the city is a mesmerizing place for ears like we are… We don’t want to spare you from some nice news - Marco Messina’s band 99Posse published a brand new tune this very weekend! Comanda la gang! The gang is in command! We like the groove! In the song, "the gang" refers to those at the political power, of course. But also, it made us think that we all need friends, a gang, each other. Of course, it is not so smart these days to want to meet friends inside - but what about meeting with each other in a way that gained a lot of popularity during these COVID times…?!? We like to meet with “our gang” (whoever that might be) in the park! Or in the botanical gardens….
Both cities, Napoli and Zurich have beautiful botanical gardens …. Does your nearest city also have one? A good place to meet with some friends, for a walk with fresh air and enough distance - yet feeling close in friendship?
We all need our “gang”, others to listen to, and others who hear us. So today, we invite you to chose someone of your own gang, someone you like to participate in a very special listening exercise by Gaspare Caliri:
Ascolto non funzionale n° 4 Find a person willing to do a listening exercise with you. Together, find a comfortable spot in the open air and sit down. Close your eyes for about a minute and listen to your surroundings. Identify, each on their own, a more rhythmic and a more melodic sound. Compare your choices.
Today's task is to share with us the sounds you and your company chose. Maybe you even feel like recording a snippet of your conversation, so that we can hear the voices?
