Jambo Jambo!
Greetings from the Nairobi City Park!
Quite hard to say goodbye to the wilderness, isn’t it? We will carry our audio memories of Masai Mara with us for quite some time…
Finally, we are reunited with Pan! Delia took a look at the map again and suddenly we understood where to find Pan - and very true - he was taking a nap in the pollinator garden in the city….!
Yes, there is a special place for pollinators in the city park (and for some Greek Gods escaping the city). Did you know you can even do one on your own at home? The web is full of ideas and tipps - but if you want to dig really deep check out the pollinator.org website.
Right, we are here for something else (our mind wanders and explores!)
But instead of wandering on - we explore our roots today. (Btw. another little detour here - but we also asked our artist of the week Joseph Kamaru about his roots… )
Did you know that plants talk to each other with their roots?
A project in Switzerland explores how soils sound … quite much going on there, isn’t it?
We want to know what is going on at the roots of your plant. We know you cannot bury your mobile phone in the ground - but maybe if you go close and closer, there is something to capture? How does the soil where you plant grows sound?
Also just study your plant, the tree you observe and imagine their conversations… Find materials that sound like the chatter of all those roots, think and short, long and dendritic ...
